Reading Grade 4- Continents

Essential Questions: What are the seven continents? What can maps and gloves help you do? Can I write narratives using effective sequencing, transitions, and narrative techniques to engage a reader?

Objectives:

1. Describe places. Describe cultures. Compare and contrast places.

2. Write opinion pieces, supporting a point of view with reasons. Write informative/ explanatory texts to examine a topic and convey ideas and information. Participate in shared writing.

3. Describe spatial and temporal relations. Ask informational questions. Identify lines of latitude and longitude on a globe.

Identity the four hemispheres, the Equator, and the Prime Meridian. Understand the purpose for lines of latitude and longitude.
